If students seek course credit toward their doctoral degree, they should enroll in the course as an independent study, under the direction of an advisor who understands that the course would be beneficial to his or her advisee’s graduate study. If needed, Newberry faculty is happy to write on the students’ behalf explaining the content and benefits of the course.
